5. Inspecting sessionsΒΆ
Once UPF is up and running, SMF takes over PDU session management, which implies creating, configuring and destroying the associated GTP-U tunnels. No more CLI/NETCONF input necessary for this.
Because CLI/NETCONF are not involved, they cannot report nor affect the state of individual sessions.
Currently, only the following information is available:
GTP interface counters are incremented when processing traffic through GTP-U tunnels.
Enabling PFCP service logs puts session-related information into system logs.
