2.2. Installation

This section explains how to install Turbo Router as a new appliance.

If you already have a system running a previous version of Turbo Router 2.x, you can also update your system using the CLI.

Turbo Router is provided in several flavors.

• an img.gz file, for installation using USB stick
• an iso file, for installation using CDROM, virtual CDROM or PXE boot
• a qcow2 file for VM installation in a KVM environment
• an ova file for VM installation in a VMWare environment
• a private AMI image for VM installation in an AWS environment
• an update file, for updating an existing Turbo Router installation

After you have installed Turbo Router following one of the methods above, jump to the First configuration section.
