Log¶
The show log command can be used to display logs. The output can be filtered
by service, facility, severity and/or VRF:
vsr> show log service ntp vrf main level greater-or-equal warning
Aug 11 00:30:41 vsr systemd[1]: Starting chrony.service - chrony, an NTP client/server...
Aug 11 00:30:41 vsr systemd[1]: Started chrony.service - chrony, an NTP client/server.
vsr> show log facility daemon max-lines 5
Aug 11 00:30:41 vsr chronyd[5763]: Loaded 0 symmetric keys
Aug 11 00:30:41 vsr chronyd[5763]: Loaded seccomp filter (level 1)
Aug 11 00:30:41 vsr systemd[1]: Started chrony.service - chrony, an NTP client/server.
Aug 11 00:30:41 vsr systemd[1]: Reached target time-sync.target - System Time Synchronized.
Aug 11 00:30:45 vsr chronyd[5763]: Selected source 10.11.0.22 (ntp.6wind.com)
The follow parameter can be used in addition to any other parameters to
display logs continuously.

Each service has its own logging policy with regards to syslog facilities and severities. Refer to the services’ documentation for details.
